The Times: HappyOrNot’s data reveals the best day and time for Christmas shopping
Featured in The Times (in print and online!), HappyOrNot’s very own data reveals the best day and time to do your Christmas shopping.
If you are one of the millions of people who have yet to do your Christmas shopping, this week may be the week, especially if you want the least stressful experience possible.
At HappyOrNot, we have combined millions of feedback points to reveal the best day to shop over the festive period. As reported in The Times, using our data, the best date is Wednesday 10th December. This day is early enough that shops are still well stocked and staff are not exhausted, and it is also a relatively quiet day for shopping.
The piece goes on to reveal more of our data, including the best time of day to shop. Between 9am and 10am is when shoppers report the most positive experiences. Stores are quieter, checkout queues are shorter, and staff are more available.
The message is clear. Customer service remains the key factor in experience, with speed of service, staff knowledge, accessibility, and friendliness all playing an important role.
